Making Rice Krispie Chrismas Tree treats and shapes Recipe-How to Make Different Rice Crispy Christmas Decorations
Rice Krispie Christmas Trees, snowmen, candy canes and even gift packages recipe
I love making Rice Crispie Christmas recipes with my daughter. When I first made these unique treats we made them for the patients at the nursing home and they enjoyed to help with decorating them. Rice Crispie Trees are very easy to make. I also made these treats for our family cookie swap held once a year in December and they where a big hit. With rice crispies you can be creative and make many different things as the melted marshmellows make it easy to form many different sculptures.
Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons of Butter
1 package of regular marshmellows-for best results always use fresh marshmellows
6 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal - Rice Krispie Cereal is the best cereal I have found to use. The generic versions seem to taste stale.
licorice, M & M's, miniture ice crean cones, green food coloring, candy sprinkles, frosting
Directions
In a medium sized sauce pan melt the butter untill it is completley melted. Slowley add Rice Krispie cereal untill it is well coated. Add 2 or 3 drops of green food coloring if you are making the Chrismas trees. Add more food coloring for darker trees and less for lighter trees. On wax paper form your rice Krispies into your partical Chrismas shape. You can also use cookie cutters to make different shapes. I personally like the 3D Christmas trees. Decorate with frosting or candies. When forming your different shapes coat your hands with butter this will stop things from sticking to your hands. Let cool for atleast 15 minutes. These Rice Krispie treats are so cute you wont want to eat them.
